A Space for Changemakers

You’ve been holding so much, for so long. The stress, the urgency, the fatigue, responsibility—it doesn’t just live in your calendar; it lives in your body.

In a sector that demands so much (especially in this current social and political climate), the Changemaker Re(Boot) Camp is a space for nonprofit, social impact, and changemaking professionals like you to renew their energy, passion, and purpose. We envision this as not just a convening or retreat but an intimate moment for like-hearted humans on the frontlines of social change efforts to breathe, recalibrate, and leave with a clearer vision of the future for themselves and the social sector.

This is your permission slip to exhale, reconnect, and remember you don’t have to do this alone.

You deserve a break in a safe space with a community of people who get it.

You deserve a joyful reboot.

And that’s exactly what we’re building!

Join us to find respite, community, and tools to sustain your critical work without burnout, self-sacrifice, or disillusionment. We’re here for you, and YOU belong here.

CORE OBJECTIVES

Over three days, the experience will include workshops, circles, experiential activities, and intentional spaces for you to:

  • Rest & Renew – Decompress, destress, recharge, and reconnect with your greater purpose.

  • Build Community & Collaboration – Foster meaningful connections between changemakers across roles, organizations, and sectors.

  • Heal & Reflect – Meaningfully address chronic stress and burnout, reconnect with your heart, mind, and body, and reflect on what it means for you to be a whole human in this season of work and life.

  • Learn & Grow – Deepen skills, knowledge, and confidence in leadership and professional well-being

  • Reimagine & Reinvent – Think boldly about your work and the future of changemaking.

WORKSHOPS & EXPERIENCES

Much like a computer running too many programs at once, changemakers often push forward even as systems overload. The Changemaker (Re)Boot Camp is designed to walk you through a complete system reset, starting with powering down and honoring the exhaustion that’s already here. From there, we’ll scan for what’s no longer serving us, release the outdated scripts and patterns, and make space for renewal. Then, with fresh updates, tools, insights, and connections, we’ll prepare to reenter the world and our work with clarity, resilience, and a more sustainable path forward.

All facilitators are justice-focused, equity-centered, and trauma-informed, and we’re committing to a no-screens or PowerPoint rule in all workshops and experiences!  â€‹

EXPERIENCE TIMING & AGENDA

Participants will arrive in time for dinner on Thursday, April 23 and the program will conclude with lunch on Sunday, April 26.

Ample free time and downtime will be included in the agenda to ensure that you get the respite and calm you are looking for.

We respectfully ask that you only sign up if you expect to be able to stay for and participate in the whole experience from Thursday evening through Sunday lunch. This is largely about cultivating community, which is hard if people are moving in and out or if they have to leave early.

If applicable, please book flights that arrive by midday on Thursday and depart after 3 pm on Sunday.

THIS IS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

We believe that rest, renewal, and healing work ARE professional development and essential for sustainable leadership and impact. When changemakers have space to process, reconnect with their purpose, build tools, and find community for navigating complexity, they return to their work more grounded, focused, and effective.

â€‹Investing in this kind of experience isn’t just about individual well-being; it’s a strategic investment in the long-term health of teams, organizations, and the movements we’re a part of.

We understand that budgets are tight, time is sacred, and that you might be carrying guilt or shame about slowing down or taking space for yourself at a time when there is so much urgency and it feels like you need to push harder.

We invite you to invest in yourself (or your team) anyway.

Yes, this will require taking a short break from your job, but it is not a break from THE work. You’ll leave feeling more inspired and more ready to support yourself and your team in the season ahead.

Instead of asking, "Have I worked hard enough to deserve rest?"

I've started asking, "Have I rested enough to do my most loving meaningful work?"
